The 2022 HSBC UK National Cross-country Series, Round 2 will take place at Whithaugh Park, Newcastleton, British Cycling can today confirm, over the weekend of 16-17th April.

Entry on-line only via BC website; no paper entries or entries on the day.

The course has a real old school feel and our course designer, fresh from working on the Tokyo Olympic course as well as Round 1-3 & Exposure Lights TwentyFour12, has added a few surprises to keep even the top riders guessing as they make their way round the natural environment.

Venue Address:

Whithaugh Park, Newcastleton, TD9 0TY

Event organiser, Matt Williams, said:

“At Whithaugh Park you’ll find really nice twisty, natural single track, technical decents and open grassland sections with plenty of room for overtaking. On site we’ve been given a blank canvas to create a course suitable of a National event and that's what we’ve done"

The venue will also host all the usual facilities, promotional tents and food and drink vendors. Camping is also still available on site from the Friday to the Sunday.

Key Points for Camping:

There are various options for accommodation on the Nationals site itself. If you want to stay on the site, then please book in advance as space is limited.

Camping:

  • Tent camping - £15 per night per tent – toilets available in the Sports Hall. Book here.
